Default Overheating

I have a ? My truck is overheating but I'm not sure what it is yet yesterday I was driving it and after a lil while the hightemp lowoil light came on. Oil was fine so I was told it's over heating but it it was still kind of full with water since that's what I was using to test drive. Could it be the water pump? They told me it was replaced but they say it must of been a while back any help please???

Thermostat......... Water pump impeller blades could be eaten away....
Air bubble in system.......
Radiator could have a blockage......possible bad fan clutch.

Use a scanner to tell whats actually wrong with it. No reason the oil light should come on from over heating so there's something not right there. (The oil light is a pressure switch, verifying it had oil in it is a good start but doesn't mean oil is flowing)

Check to see what the real temp is to rule out an electrical issue. And if both of those lights came on you will also have a cel with relevant codes that will have more info.

Step 1 - get the codes, check the live data.

The OP's first post states that the engine is overheating. I'm glad you can read people's thoughts because I sure can't.
