Default Is timing correct

I have an 03 4.0 sohc v6 ranger. I just installed new timing kit and set timing on both cams and #1clinder is at tdc and crankshaft key is at 12oclock. Now where I'm worried about is when I installed the harmonic ballancer pulley on I noticed that the Gap on the harmonic balancer teeth was not at 12oclock like I thought it should but I did notice that the crankshaft position sensor pointer was right at the 0 notch on the harmonic balancer now is that good? Please help??
