Default 1996 4.0 Camshaft Syncro/Sensor

Hey guys I just swapped in a 1994 4.0 into my 1996 Ford Ranger that previously had a 4.0 that threw a connecting rod out of the block.

Its a early 1996, February to be exact and I need a camshaft postition sensor to put into the 1994 block.. but when I look up the 1996 ones they look totally different than the one that was in my 1996 block. Mine looks like a 1995.. will that one work ? My harness has a 3 pin plug for the sensor and so did the sensor that came out of the 1996 block
