Default Shock replacement

Hi i just recently leveled my 03 4.0l sohc 4wd ranger. And i just noticed that when i hit a bump i hear like a slight bang noise like when you have a bad shock. Now that i have lifted the front up a little should i put larger shocks on and if so what size?

I have a 03 4.0l v6 4wd ranger edge and am looking to level the front out and was just going to go for the torsion key lift but was told they are bad on the ride and suspension. So they say spindle lift is the way to go but I can't seem to find spindle lift for the 4wd any help would apreciate it on what's the best way to go.

Ahh, that’s more than likely the cause of your issue. You can only safely get 1.5-2” max adjustment out of the front suspension on the torsion bar Rangers. If you push it past that, you start running into issues. The noise you are hearing is probably the upper control arm hitting the frame or the shock topping out.

Do you have any pictures of the front suspension as it sits?
