Default 99 4.0 OHV head

I went to put my new Pro Max Performance head on yesterday and could not seem to get it to fit down over the pilot pipes which are on each end of the engine block and that the OD of the pipes were 15.33 and the holes on the head were 15.25 which will not allow the head to fit flush with the block. Is it possible to say take it to a machine shop and have them enlarge the holes so it will fit. Has anyone else had this problem lately with Pro Max?
