Default new head gasket 4.0 bogs down now?

94 4.0 4x4 5 speed ranger i just replaced both head gaskets, heads milled. start it up and rev it and it bogs. its fine for just cruising but when i stab the throttle it bogs like im towing a boat. so i unplugged the tps and it threw a check engine but it runs smooth now. so i replaced it and hooked it back up and it still bogs down. help i dont want to keep running it with no tps. any ideas?????

changed the tps and didnt fix the problem. pushrods are the same. no modifications to the engine at all. it seems a little better now though but still hesitates a little

Run a vacuum test to verify that the valve train isn't at fault. Valves staying open will get burnt up. Also, pull codes from the computer system. There may be also an electrical connector or vacuum line that may have not been reconnected, be sure to check over the work and listen for any hissings. This type of thing happens to the majority of us.
