Default Hum from engine

When driving my 2003 4.0 4x4 ranger I hear a loud hum from the engine at 1800-2000 RPMs. Usually under a bit of load, like a hill. Below 1800 its fine. Above 2000 its fine. Could it be the IAC valve? Anyone else have a similar issue?

Default Re: Hum from engine

i had the same problem on my 1997 it is the IAC

the IAC is just passed the throttle body and is two 8m bolts and one electrical plug

Costs about 50 bucks and takes about 15 minutes to change
