my son was driveing on the interstate when the truck started to slow down. he gave it more gas and after a few seconds it shut down and started smokeing. he says it never overheated and i checked oil for water and found nothing. anybody have any ideas on what could be wrong. moror turns but wont start.

Smoking from? Hood or under or???

he said it was comeing from under the hood and when he lifted the hood it was comeing from the sides and the back of the motor but he knows very little about cars and couldnt give me more specifics

Check to make sure there's not spark plug wires laying on the manifolds. Any visible leaks?

it had a small power steering leak and it leaked about a quart of oil between changes. left valve cover is covered in oil so i think its head gasket but there was no water in oil and it wont start usually it'll at least start with blown head gasket won't it.

and all wires are good spark plugs still look decent too
