Default how hard is it to convert my truck to 4x4

before i start don't tell me to get a 4wd cause i already have one

i have a lifted 2wd 2000 ranger I'm looking to switch to 4wd, i have access to an identical ranger that is 4wd and an explorer that is 4wd, now I already know it won't be as easy to just swap the suspension and put a transfer case in cause i have to deal with the lift and all that so ill pry have to fabricate some parts to convert the lift but does anyone know about whether there are plugs for the electronic 4wd on my 2wd already or will i have to make my own 4wd wiring harness

Swap the cab and bed from the 2wd to the 4wd frame.

If your lift is a spindle lift you will not be able to use it if you convert to 4wd. You would have to be stock height, buy a 4wd suspension lift or body lift.

i already know that i was planning on fabricating differential drop brackets and between cranking the torsion bars and my lifted upper control arms it level it out with the rear

no i was gonna use stock 4wd knuckles
im figuring between cranking the torsion bar that will be 2-3 inches then my upper control arms will lift it another 2.5 inches, so it would be 4.5-5.5 inches of lift so fabricating differential drop brackets will correct the axle angles

How exactly do your upper control arms lift the truck?
