2001 4.0 L engine
I have a 2001 Ranger with a 4.0L engine in it.SOHC vin code E.Does anyone know what years either Ranger or Explorer that would interchange with this.I understand that I might have to swap the oil pan,intake or other small things.Just want to find the newest engine that would fit.

Up to 2011 from any other vehicle with a 4.0 sohc. Get the newest with the least miles.
You just need to swap any different parts on top of the engine and use your old exhaust manifolds. The one in my 03 ranger came from an 08 mustang. It's a simple swap.
