Horrible Gas Mileage..

I have a 1996 2WD 4.0 V6 OHV extended cab ranger...
When I got the truck I was getting around 350-360 miles a tank in a 20 gallon tank..
About a year or so goes by and now I'm lucky to get 220 a tank..

Starting to get really frustrated with this, anyone got any solutions or input?

I've cleaned the MAF multiple times, last time was about 2 weeks ago.
I'll try an air filter, it hasn't been changed in over a year so idk if that's it.

New air filter every 12k. Did it look dirty when you cleaned the maf?

I mean it wasn't like black... but by no means was it clean. It's definitely got dirt and dust and shit built up in it. I've hit it with a air compressor a few times and it knocks dust out but that's it.

I'd go for the other obvious and ask when is the last time you changed the fuel filter? Run a shot of injector cleaner through it too, see what that gets you. I use isoheet. It sounds like it's just in need of some internal cleaning to get all the carbon out.

I'm in the same boat with the gas mileage being around 220. And I have done a fuel filter, air filter cleaned mass flow, new plugs wires, all new O2 sensors, and just for fun tried changing the oil 1000 miles early and only gained like 10 mile per tank.
