HELP! Oil problems!
So my oil pressure has been really low since I bought my 2000 Ranger last week. Today I was sitting in traffic and my oil temp got EXTREMELY high and the engine started to make small clunk noises. I know this is bad, but does anyone have any idea of what it is?!? Also maybe how to fix it.

change the oil first. Make sure it has the correct FL820S motorcraft oil filter on It. Then reply back.

I have all the supplies to change the oil and was planning on changing the oil soon. I'll do it today then.

it's probably way over do for an oil change. And also, it's not throwing any codes? The Check Engine Light or the oil light isn't on right?
----------
It could be a bad oil pressure sensor switch

The check engine light is on and it leaks oil. It doesn't drip oil, just a bit on the side of the engine block near the bottom

hmmm wonder if the oil pan seal is going bad. Take it to the nearest Oreillys and they will scan it for free and tell you what's wrong. lol I work at oreillys thus why I suggested them over any other AutoParts store
