Default 93 Ranger 4.0 problems

Have recently had some problems with my 93 ranger and need some help diagnosing the problem. Never had any problems before but last week was driving down the highway and the truck just shut down. Popped the hood, couldn't see anything wrong so got back in and it started back up. Drove a few miles and it died again. Wouldn't start up for a few minutes, would crank but not fire up. It has died 4 more times since. Always runs for a few miles and seems like when the engine heats up it dies and then if you give it time to cool down it starts back up. Thought it might be the ignition control module but i replaced that and it still did the same thing. Any thoughts would be helpful. Thanks

I'll take a guess and say it's your fuel pump.

Vapor lock? Are there any fuel lines that were moved closer to a heat source?

fuel pump was just changed last year so we don't think it is that. Nothing was modified since it last ran good and had no problems. It never had any problems like this at all no matter how long the trip until the day it died 3 days and wouldn't drive further than 10 miles

My '93 Ranger 4x4 Extended Cab 4.0L is giving me big problems. Now, I am getting a code that says that the EDIS Module (Ignition Controle Module) has a problem with coil #3. I want to replace it, but can not find the module. I have a Haynes Manual that says that it is connected to the radiator support. It is not there. My Chilton Manual says the same thing. I went to Ford and got a print out that says that it is behind the battery. It isn't there either. Since your post says that you have replaced yours, can you help me locate it? Thanks in advance. Do you mean you cant find the coil?
