96 4.0 misfireing

hello all. today while cleaning my truck i found some sea foam. i put a couple cap fulls into the 3/4 full tank and continued cleaning. about 4 hours later i started her up and drove about 10 feet when i noticed a aggressive shaking. then as i started off it had a serious lack of power and the cel started flashing really bad. what could that little of sea foam do that quickly to cause a misfire?

Wait....you said you put a "couple cap fulls" into the tank....did you put it in the gas tank?!? Cause that's not where sea foam goes...no wonder it's shaking badly if us put it in the gas tank!

no, i only washed the bed and tool box. and from what i've read and seen on youtube people put it in their gas tank

How old is the seafoam? Maybe its not combustible anymore depending on how old it is.

This is why I am hesitant to run sea foam. If there are no leaks or other issues and you run it I think there is a decent chance that during the cleaning process some of the dislodged gunk will lead to problems.

Ya. I checked the plugs They were fried. and some of them were bridged with some gunk that I guess got dislodged from the tank. It's running better than ever now!
