Default Oil Pump Screen

2000 XLT 4.0 4x4 - 160k miles
Is it possible to clean the oil pump screen without jacking the motor up.
My issue lately is no oil pressure at start up, after about 90 seconds the gauge will bounce around for a few seconds then settle right in the middle. You can hear a slight tick for those 90 seconds and then all is well. I was wondering if it the pan would drop enough to clean the screen. I dont believe you can get the pan out without jacking the engine up, but was hoping it would drop enough i could get my hand in there and clean the screen, then run some flush through it and see if that helps.
