Check Engine
New to this forum I bought my first Ranger and have some work to do. First o2 sensor replacement. How do I reset the check engine light?

White 2000 Ford Ranger XLT Off Road, Extd Cab, 4X4, 4 door. It has the 4.0 V6 Automatic Transmission. Inside it has the AM/FM stereo w/cassette & CD player, PW, PL, PM, Tilt, Cruise. Fog Lights and Tow Package, Last edited by 4Xranger; 05-10-2014 at 09:18 PM.

Scan tool or disconnect a battery cable.

Thanks, I just had the code read at Auto-zone yesterday. I am going to attempt the o2 sensor change. bank 1 sensor 2

To reset it just turn the ignition on but not the motor and floor the gas pedal for 3 or so seconds or until your gauge lights flash
|
