Give them back to the vendor and continue using the Motorcraft.

Why? They are gaped To my specs already and the heat range is the same as motorcraft plugs.

Re: NGK G-Power
Unfortunately you don't have a siggy telling what you drive but I'll assume it's a 4.0. The Ford 4.0, via history and experience of numerous owners, does horrible with plugs other than Motorcraft/Autolite. "Any good?" as asked in the OP doesn't include them being of the right heat range and gaped, it's the brand of plug itself that's the problem.
*Edit: Do some searching (here and elsewhere) and reading about this.

Re: NGK G-Power
Autolite or Motorcraft only in a 4.0L SOHC. Their are 2 different length of plugs for the SOHC and aftermarket only makes one.

I have a pushrod 4.0. And these NGKs are working alright. I change them out every 30k anyways. Next time I'll just stick with my motorcrafts. Just wanted to get opinions and give em a shot.

Re: NGK G-Power
You may be ok on the older 4.0l but the new 4.0l and 3.0l do not like anything but motor craft plugs not sure why but they never run as well as the motor crafts.

Re: NGK G-Power
How would a iridium plug work verses a double platinum? Autolite offers iridiums

Re: NGK G-Power
have used ngk no problems but the bosch plugs not recommended because they are too short. make sure you are using the longer thread length for the 4 liter motor. iridium plugs work but not worth the extra cost. gas mileage the same

Can you elaborate on this? I'm unaware of two different plug lengths on the SOHC.
I am aware some auto parts stores computers still show the OHV plug for early model SOHC applications...like my 2001. And those for sure are two different thread length plugs.

Re: NGK G-Power
Been a while since I've dealt with the aftermarket stuff now, so bear with, me. It was NGK's catalog, if I remember correctly, that doesn't list the longer SOHC plug until 09 or 10, up until them it lists the OHV plug. Some of the aftermarket manufacturers thread the plug to the end of the shield whereas Ford does not, etc. Also the plugs from 01-08 are platinium, the plugs for the 09-11 are copper/nickel, which is a another thing the aftermarket failed to pick up on.

Re: NGK G-Power
in my case i used to drive a 2002 mazda 2.3 liter and it used the shorter plug length and all the after market suppliers were that same length. when i updated to a 2010 ford ranger with a 4 liter the plugs where i live were all longer except for the plugs supplied by bosch for this motor. if you look at the plugs and compare them you will see the difference. it is obvious. the problem with the shorter plug is if your motor were to backfire you could blow a plug out of your motor and that will be expensive to fix. not worth the risk. you can still buy after market plug in platinum for the years 2009-2011 where i live

Yes but Ford spec'd a copper/nickel plug for them after 08 not a platinium plug. Most likely to help with cold warm surge issue, the aftermarket other than Champion didn't pick up on that. Therein lies the aftermarket issue. I work for a Toyota dealer, take shocks on a Tacoma for example, the aftermarket will 2 options, Toyota has 12. The difference is the aftermarket is trying to create one number to fit a variety of applications, the manufacturer provides the one designed specifically for that application.

Re: NGK G-Power
Ive been a solid advocate of NGK plugs and wires due to my own technical background, I've never had a issue or concern that lead me back to a deficient product or use of the product... ever.
I have an older OHV with the correct NGK plugs and they work great, where I notice it the most is in the top end there is a smoothness that wasn't there before. Granted this isn't the type of vehicle that your winding out and banging ever gear out to redline but its a noticeable change. I have followed up with their wires as usual, as no matter the length of the wire in my experience have I seen much than a slight fluctuation over 1ohm in the resistance; that's damn hard to beat including the quality of the wires construction.
What I do agree with is if your using the OEM parts that were meant to be used with it's setup, you obviously cant go wrong. People using Bosch should stop worrying about saving $ .33 and buy the OEM plugs at a minimum. So far I have noticed there is a expressed opinion of what works and if you carefully read as you lurk around the site you'll see the pattern. Many of the guys here will stick to what they know works because the cost factors involved of miscalculating anything aren't in many peoples budgets any means... The less dents in your wallet the better I say.
ALSO:: keep in mind also though that NGK plugs are "backwards" in heat range orders from all other plugs. So make sure you take into account for that.
