Hello All,

I am new to the forms, and also to 4.0's, so I'm stumped.

Me and my pap have torn apart our 1999 Ranger 4.0 four times now. We had symptoms of the "cracked head" issue. So, after all the time and money it took to get the head off and checked, we keep having issue after issue. We solved the cracked head symptoms, and replaced a few bad parts, including injectors and a shorted out starter. We now have another injector spewing gas all over. This is the fourth one. When we put it together, a few injectors were really tight, we were going to pull it back apart, but my Uncle insisted to make it tighter...
So, now after replacing tons of o-rings, and two broken injectors, it's leaking again.

Anyone know any tricks?

We think we have it all fixed now, we took the intake apart and fould some junk on the injectors, it looked like dirt. We cleaned em up, greased the o-rings, and SLOWLY put it together, all the injectors are snug, but they can be twisted back and forth, and we pressurized the fuel rail, with no leaks. we ran it up to tempurature and it runs great...hopefully for a long time to come.
