SP432 is a short reach plug, SP500 is a long reach. Pull one of your plugs to determine which you need or call your local Ford store with your VIN and they can tell you which you need.

You will want to upgrade to dual platinum Autolite/Motorcraft to get the benfits of the best and latest technology. No, it's not because they cost more, it's because your engine fires the plug once for every rev (technically, it only needs to fire once every two revs, four-stroke engine) and one side is reverse polarity. Or to say it a little differently, one coil fires two plugs everytime TDC is hit. Because of this, on one bank the center electrodes are prone to wear, on the opposite bank the outer electrode is prone to wear. This is why you want and need 2X platinum plugs, it's about the DIS and the waste spark design, principle, and operation of this system and using the best plugs for it.
