Default Re: Killing the "Good Guy"

Something else to mention. Sometimes as a "good guy" we can be our own worst enemies. We who have been hurt many times, go into a relationship thinking, "I just know this is not going to work out, it is going to be her cheating on me, or dumping me, she would never like me, etc, etc.

I have a friend who is a skydiving instructor, and he has told me that he can be parachuting into a field with a group of students, and the field can be wide open, except for ONE SMALL TREE at one end of the field. He can tell his students, "Hey, be careful of that small tree at the north end of the field. Just don't land in it." And the entire time in the aircraft, going out the door, in freefall, and in descent, they will be thinking, "Just don't land in the tree." And what happens? They land in it.
