From what I understand it sounds like the cam sync sensor on the back of the motor.

Mine rattles some as well..Not too bad though. They seem to go out on all of the 3.0s eventually. I'll probably wait until it gets worse before I do anything. I've put enough money into my truck.

You should find a lot of info if you start searching it - theres even videos on youtube of people replacing them.
