Yeah, Most people don't look at the overall picture. I can't see paying that kind of money for general ed. classes either, but 6k aint bad compared to some other tutition costs that I've seen either. Here's another sad fact. 85% of college grads don't get to use their education, and have huge amounts of debt and usually end up working in fast food joints before,during and after college. It seems like there's no placement programs for them when ther're in the home stretch of finishing.
