Don't go after enterprise. All they did was rent the car. They have no control over what happens to it while it is being rented. The person who signed the rental agreement is the person who should be sued, not the rental company.
Here is a hypothetical:
Would enterprise be in trouble if the vehicle they rented was used in a robbery? Would they have to pay back the store/bank that was robbed? No they would not.
They are not responsible for any damage or injury to you.
