It's the brand loyalty thing. Some of their oils are pretty good, but not all. Just like any other manufacturer out there, it's really a matter of preferance. Penzoil is pretty good I've used it myself. Penzoil Platinum 10W30. My truck calls for 5W20 but that viscosity is too thin and it doesn't get cold enough around here for thin oil to be required. Plus I get alot better fuel economy with 10W30 than the 5W20 because it takes longer for it to reach the operating temperature. Here's an oil I love:
This stuff is really good, but at nearly $9.00 bucks a quart (around my area of course) it can put a hurtin on your wallet.
I'm not saying QS is bad, but it aint the best either.
