No they have the same rearends (Ford 8.8), just different gears. The FX4's came with Ford's limited slip. THe FX4 Level II's came with a Torsen Limited Slip. All FX4s are 4.10 geared with the L/s. My XLT on the other hand is 4.10 geared, BUT i have an open differential
