I'm 5'11" and i fit in a regular cab 1997 just fine. My cousin is about 6'6", and he fit in the passenger side well. I would agree with the Crowd on getting an extended cab, you'll appreciate the extra room, especially since your going from an F-150 to a Ranger. If you do however decide to go regular cab, I believe in 1998 they added another 3in. onto the cab. That may not seem like much, but that extra room may come in handy.
