you can also get on a nice straight road and slowly get up to speed, all along keep hitting th cruise control, it sets at 30. Then you can put it on. The 4.0 idles at like 1100 to set tach. For gas, just drive until the check gauge light comes on then set to bottom of "E" or just fill up and set it 3 mark widths past "F"
