Exclamation Cant Find Crankshaft Timing Sensor.

Hey guys still having problems with truck hard starting but now narrowed it down to if when I turn the key just clicks if I hold it the engine will start after a few seconds. Friend told me it was the crank sensor I believe he means the crankshaft position sensor or timing sensor But I cant find the thing can anyone show me a Picture of where is at on the 3.0 Vulcan? By the way truck is 92 Ranger XLT.

Behind the harmonic balancer I believe. You'll have to take it off.

Will not need to remover harmonic balancer

Disconnect the negative battery cable.
disconnect the wire harness plug from the CKP sensor first

Loosen the sensor mounting stud/bolts then separate the sensor from the engine front cover.
then unbolt the sensor and pull it away from the engine

It is on the front of the engine, on passenger side front cover. The harmonic balancer or crank pulley is on the front center of engine. It is connected to crankshaft. Crankshaft turns and turns pulley which turns the belt which turns water pump, power steering pump, alternator.
