| | Need help. blown head gasket? cracked block?
Today while parking my truck (1995 3.0L Ford Ranger) I noticed that the temp gauge was reading just above 3/4 hot. It has been fluctuating between cold and 3/4 lately, but never going over 3/4 on the temp gauge. I turned my truck off and noticed that massive amounts of radiator fluid was spewing on the passenger side w/a little bit of oil and making a hissing sound from some area with pressurized air, which appeared to be right above the intake manifold. I'm not sure exactly where it is coming from but is in that generally area towards the front of the vehicle. I let my truck cool and started it once more and noticed in the same area that bubbly radiator fluid mixed with regular fluid was dripping out at a rapid pace, while making a hissing sound. Could this be a blown head gasket, cracked block or head? There's no fluid or water that appears to be mixed with the oil and no white smoke from the exhaust.I plan to tear through it tomorrow but want to get a good idea on where i stand and how much work will be required, I'm hoping this can be a weekend job :-/.
