Not sure I understand that... how did you fix it?

I have determined that most mechanical / electrical challanges are directly connected to the nut that connects the steering wheel to the drivers seat.

OK, I changes the terminal and that did not work. no selonoid as far as i can see. There may be a fusable line inside the harness, but I have not found it yet.

Still plan to pull the starter tomorrow and see if thats the challange.

See if you truck has an externally mounted starter relay. It will be mounted to the inner fender panel between the battery and the power distribution box. (driver side) That may have been your pop. This may only be for older models. My 01 does not have this but my old 93 did.

i think it might be the starter, my old suburban had a problem like that the lights worked but when i turned the key nothing. it ended up being the starter.
though you said something bout it not being the starter?

And the verdict is in....sort of

Removed the old starter and took it to Autozone. They tested it and it tested out fine.

I was about to walk back out of the store when I thought, a new one is only $40 after the $30 back for the core so I might as well install a new one.

Purchased the new one, took it back, installed it late yesterday afternoon and my son was driving her last night.

Not sure why it tested good, but I am very glad I chosse to get the new one.

Thanks for all the help

Dave
