Unhappy Engine making a thumping noise.

Okay so on my 91 3.0L Ranger there is a thumping noise that starts when I've been driving for about 30min to 1hr, I'm not accelerating but just cruising between 40-50mph. It gets louder when I let off the throttle completely to coast at little. It sounds like its on the driver side of the engine. Also my truck is a manual if that changes anything.
