Push the instrument cluster dimmer (located to the right of the headlight switch) all the way up until its clicks. That's how you turn on your interior dome light. To turn it off, pull it down until it clicks again.

Come on Kevin, not every used truck comes with the owners manual. And when you last bought a used truck, did you rush out and get it? Shop manual? Sure thing. First day! But the owners manual?

First off, it's supposed to be funny. Second, cats are awesome. Third, no I didn't, but if someone isn't sure how to turn on the dome light, then maybe they aren't that familiar with the controls and should read the manual? You should be familiar with everything in your vehicle before driving it. It is free online...

Yes, cats are awesome. And as far as knowing the vehicle, you should see me when I rent a car! It can take me an hour before I'll drive away just checking the controls, let alone the spare and the jack and the tire pressure (yes, I carry a tire gauge with me) and the oil...

Cats are not awesome. I hope to NEVER ever own a cat again

I've never had my dog sneak in our closets and piss all over everything. Destroy my furniture with claws. And make my entire house stink because he can't learn to shit outside.

Or scar up my arm because he's retarded

He is also from Nova Scotia, maybe the ranger domelight controls are different on those rangers?

If your cat did that, it was either not fixed, or had renal failure. They do that when they're ill and they die quite the long, painful death, which may explain your maimed arm. And expecting a cat to shit outside means it wasn't litter trained. Your fault.

Dogs just piss wherever they want. And shit all over everything. And eat shit out of the cat box and even it's own shit, then rolls in it and brings it in the house. And sheds everywhere. And stinks. And eats the furniture. And barks at everything. Instead of tearing your arm up it will just bite it off when it decides it doesn't like you anymore.

On another note, Nova Scotia is a Canadian providence, so it should be identical to the Canadian versions of the Ranger, which have identical interior parts and layout as ours.

Sounds like my brother from another mother...or my own mother; I have no idea how promiscuous she was back in the day.

Next to the headlight switch is a wheel, you turn it up and you should hear the light click on; if the dome light doesn't turn on, then replace your light bulb and see if it works then. If the light continues not to work, check your fuses. If it is a bulb issue, to remove the plastic piece just use a tiny screw driver to pry it apart, make sure not to break the tabs on the plastic lens. When removing the bulb, use your fingers, some people like to use the screw driver they removed the lens with to pry the bulb out; that will just further your issue with a blow fuse. I hope this all helped you, and further educated you for current/further issues with your dome light.

I explained where it was, and helped incase he did try that but failed and he thought it wasn't the switch due to a blown bulb and or fuse. I could care less if all the posts said where it was, I was just doing my part and helping explain to him, what I'd like to be explained if I was in his shoes no matter if it's some thing as simple as locating a dome light switch or something harder like 'Why does my rear differential leak?' (Example.)

The cat that attacked my arm was a crazy little fuck. Like 10 years ago now. He didn't piss anywhere, just destroyed my house and arm. And then the old lady accidentally let him out of the house. Dang

The cat that pissed everywhere was a good cat for the most part. He wasn't fixed but he was a little over a year old. We couldn't fix him because I rescued him and turned out he had FLV. Feline leukemia virus. So the vet didn't think he could handle going under.

Every time we tried outdoor training our cats they would just split. Too many strays around and found out later there was a woman feeding all the strays with endless food.

As for the dog...mine sheds because he's a German Shepherd. Comes with the territory. He's never clawed anything or destroyed my house. The dogs that destroy things aren't raised right and/or just a dumb breed

I "like" cats...I just can't handle my shit being destroyed anymore. Not just for the dollar amount... mostly sentimental things. Stuff I got from my dad years ago before he passed. Just left a bad taste in my mouth. You know?

Yep, FLV can do that to a kitteh. And yes, cats have their own tudes'; makes them more "interesting". When I meet the crazy ones, I just shoot them with a water bottle. I do like Shepherds though. Great dogs.
