I have a 2004 Ford Ranger XLT extended cab truck with a 3.0 V6 and I need to know if it has a Flex Fuel engine VIN # 1FTYR44U84PA98480 and if it doesn't, will it hurt to put E85 in it?

The 8th digit of your VIN is a "U"

You should not have a Flex.

In 04 all the U stood for the 3.0, it wasn't specific to Flex fuel or not.

No flex fuel Rangers after 03
