Default Oil pan removal question

Our next challange is the oil pan.It also looks like it has a good leak at the gasket seal.

It appears that we can get to all of the bolts, but will the pan come all the way out without having to lift the motor or remove frame pieces?

Do not want to break it free and then not be able to get it off the engine

Thanks for any help in advance,

Dave

I have determined that most mechanical / electrical challanges are directly connected to the nut that connects the steering wheel to the drivers seat.

im pretty sure you will be better off just pulling the motor. your gonna have to take it almost all the way out anyway to get the oil pan off.

Default Re: Oil pan removal question

I've been working on getting my oil pan off till the wife is ready to blow it up with me under it. Tomorrow I will just pull the engine like I should have done to start with. I followed all the necessary steps listed in the manuals like a good little wrench and still no go. At the least you will have to separate the tranny from the engine about 4 inches after nearly disassembling the front end.

Pull the engine, save yourself mucho grief.

Good luck and God bless
