Default Whats a good intake...

for my '98 XLT??

Looking for something that might improve the performance somewhat

Its only a 3L v6, not much power. Trying to beef it up a bit in performance and power!!!

K&N makes really good intakes for the Ranger. I have one in my truck and it gave me a pretty good boost.

Ik that Jet makes chips for the 4.0's not sure about the 3.0's but i got quite a bit of improvment just off their tuned chip... i now run a custom tune but much more expensive but much much much more power

tom morana has intake manifolds, and CAI wouldnt do much at all, sometimes nothing.

how bout none. u have a CAI stock and jet??? why jet?? i think your butt dyno its tellin ya lies they dont give you as much as they say thier chips do. just getting a better air filter and dont worry bout anything else your motor. your motor can only use so much air and it will run less effiecent when hot air gets into the motor. you want more power how bout investing some REAL money into things that will give you more power instead of things that CLAIM their crap will give you so much power. like roller rockers,porting and polshing the heads,a tune up like new plugs,wires,fuel filter,and air filter,boring and rehoneing the block with a stroker kit. and some 4.10s. and what do you mean your 3.slow doesnt have alot of power mines got plenty everything is stock and its an automatic with 4.10s. and i can cherp the tires from a dead stop! and my truck will get up and go untill i get next to a V8 then i aint got nothing to keep up with them. you want real power drop in a 302!!! and a C6 automatic trans!!!! till u got the money for that why bother even makin power out of a 3.SLOW!

Ugh. What is this, intake month?

Your stock intake is a cold air intake already. Your stock intake and filter are capable of flowing more air than your stock engine will ever need. Any perceived performance increases after making intake modifications are pure and 100% BS mindgames.

Don't waste your money.
