Default [Q] '94 Ranger/2WD/3.0L. Part not connected

This is some sort of hose possibly that isnt connected to anything on one end. I have no idea where it goes. It has been there since the previous owner.

Can you get a close-up of what it is attached to/coming out of? It looks like it may go to the PCV.

Here's more pics. And please break it down for me easier. I'm not that smart at this stuff.

Also I do have an issue with accelerating. When accelerating my truck sometimes hesitates.

The hesitation could be a multitude of things, but usually attributed to a vacuum leak.

Do you have cruise control?

Yes I do. The vacuum leak sounds about right if that hose is supposed to go on my vacuum res

From all the pictures I've seen, there isn't supposed to be a hose routed there. The vacuum canister looks to be hooked up. Check to see if your vents switch to floor and defrost when the truck is running. If not, the vacuum canister isn't hooked up.

I think 1994 was the last year to have vacuum operated cruise control. Does your cruise control work?

Floors I don't know, defrost I'm pretty sure. And I haven't used my cruise control yet. (Too much city here)

I'm sure your vacuum canister is hooked up fine, at least from what I can tell in the pictures.

I think that hose is supposed to go to the cruise dump valve. On my truck, and all trucks without cruise, that hose is capped off with a special cap. More than likely, what happened is the servo or amp for the cruise went bad or was stuck open, and they might have been getting a vacuum leak through that hose. So, since they never had a cap, they plugged it with a bolt.

Confirm this by setting your cruise and see if it works. I think it will engage at anything above 25. If it doesn't, there's your problem.

It has to be either the cruise control or the other end of that vacuum canister. Mine is hooked up different because I'm a generation newer than yours, so I don't have that same setup. But it has to be either one of those, there's nothing else there for a line that size to go to.

There is a vacuume line coming from the intake to the cruise bubble or ball whichever you call it then there should be a hose going into the firewall and hooking to the front of your brake pedal bracket. It is designed to break the seal and turn cruise off when you hit your breaks. My cruise did not work on my 93 so I just removed all these parts and that's how I found it all out. Hope this helps
