iPhone forever!! :p

Code was a p-1309 (misfire or something like that)

I had the code cleared and went back home and it hasn't come back on! So I don't think it's related to the camshaft synchro. Thanks again to y'all for helping me out!

Wow that's cheap! Do you have one?

I bought two; one for my boss at work so he'd quit bugging me to read his codes, and one for my brother for the same reason. I have an SCTX3 programmer I use, as well as a scangauge ii. But those two cheapies work great. The bluetooth ones I have never used, but I'm sure they have their convenience and other homebrew mods to use them with, but either way it's cheaper than the gas it takes to drive these behemoths to the auto shop to get them read and cleared.

Hahahaha! Thanks for the sarcasm, what do you recommend I do? Telling me it's wrong sure as hell doesn't help ;) I followed the how to to the letter. The truck runs great sounds good, feels even better and no more CEL. I know ford won't sell me that, I'm pretty sure my friends friend at the ford dealer went to car quest to get it instead but oh well, he was doing me a favor and I'm not one to look a gift horse in the mouth. I'm going to get the motor craft part from rock auto and install it later on maybe in 6 months or something when I have more money.

My apologies for actually reading your words and believing them......You told us you got a Dorman at a Ford a dealer(look at your words in the top post).

I got the part from a guy who WORKS at the ford dealership who was SUPPOSED to get the part from the dealer for a good deal. Well I found out the part was from car quest so it's whatever, I need my truck for work and I can put another one in later or have a friggin mechanic do it for me for what it's worth. You understand that you don't help anyone when you use sarcasm and ridicule people? All that does is piss them off when they're already frustrated. I've seen you do it in multiple other threads in this forum. Look, I know I've probably been a pain in y'all's asses on this thread but I'm desperate, I'm far away from home and y'all are who I come to for help. My apologies for being a pain an maybe ill just stop posting here and go to a mechanic from now on.

That sucks...does that guy that work at the ford dealership like mop floors and clean bathrooms??? cuz if he worked in the parts/service department he should know better and would have known to always get the motorcraft cam sync....the dormans suck.

Nope he was a salesman though so I figured he'd come out with a motor craft part.. My bad I don't mind paying for a temp fix for now. I need my truck to get to/from my new job

Honest mistake. And the dealership guy probably thought he was doing you a solid too. The truck's running good and you've got the new MC part and can do it when you have time, right?

Pretty much, and yeah he was doing me a favor. Unfortunately the trucks a little out of time though, I'm doing a bunch of reading trying to figure out how to get it back in time... I think I'm going to take it to a mechanic next weekend if I can't find an easy way to fix it. Since I bought a dorman I have an alignment tool I just need to find a way to use it.

I will be buying a mc part from rockauto next Friday when I get my paycheck
