I wonder if debris fell into the hole?? Maybe if you can bend the straw of a can of air down to there... :S

Yep the lip is touching the block, it's seated where it's supposed to be and it's in just the right position :)I'm going to check it and if I have to I will trim the bolt. It finger tightens in about .5" and then gets tight like its hitting the bottom

DON'T TRIM THE BOLT!!! If you must, put a couple of extra washers under it. Maybe some debris from the old one fell in as Ed suggested in last post.

Ok thanks I won't trim it. Ill stop at a hardware store tomorrow and stack some washers under it. I stuck my WD-40 can and blew a bunch of mud out. Air is not a bad idea but I don't know if I have access to a compressor here.

I think what Ed meant was a can of compressed air, the stuff they use for cleaning computer parts, etc.

Hah you don't sound like a retard, if anything you sound like a pro mechanic!

Well I'm bout to wrap it up and crank her here in a minute. I'm gonna read the how to one more time ;)

Ok I took it for a nice test drive then let it cool, there's no oil leaking and it seemed to run a little better than before. When I got back to the house I let it idle while I moved a few things and got back in and there was a CEL so I'm gonna go have the code checked and figure out what it is but I imagine its something related to this?

Great... Closest place to have the code checked is advance in Raleigh

The torque app is $5. And the elm bluetooth obd2 adapter is anywhere from $10-20

And you can use the free torque if you want. So for $10 you have a scanner!
