It's a dorman from the ford dealer... Cost $79 and $33 for the sensor

----------

I specifically went to the ford dealer to get it and this is what they gave me... I sure as hell better not have to replace it again anytime soon. I'm about to be putting 70 miles a day on it just driving to work only and I'm sure I'm gonna make trips home to FL. Worst case ill get a motor craft one as a back up from somewhere online, I just didn't have the time to order online.

Are. you. freakin. kidding. God that's such BS... Friend of mine called in a favor too and got it for $49 and $24 for the sensor, I can't exactly return it. Ill just order it and wait til I have time. I wish they'd have given me a motorcraft one to begin with!! This is taking absolutely forever... Took me 2 hours to get the new sensor seated in where it's supposed to be. Now the retaining bolt won't go back in. It rides down in and then stops hard and the washer's still loose... ?? $&@#%€ sick of this $&i right now, no mobile mechanics around here and if I get it towed its gonna cost a fortune cause ill have to go to wake forest. For some reason I never had a CEL either... Any advice is appreciated.

Is it in yet?

That sucks about getting a Dorman POS. I made sure I bought a Motorcraft, and the price definitely let me know it was Motorcraft. I think I paid close to $180 for it. I don't have any ins at Ford dealers.

first, dont lay your new one on the ground for dirt to get onto it.....
second, calm down, i know its a pain to get to, but take your time and do it right...it took me about 6 tries to get it in there in the right position.

It is in, it's been in for a while and it's in the right position after about 6 tries, that's not my problem. the retaining bolt isn't going in and that's my problem. I don't want to strip it so I've taken my time but its just not making the washer snug. Is it possible that the dorman has a smaller lip on the bottom?

Can you confirm that the lip itself is touching the block? If not, the oil pump drive shaft probably isn't lined up with the cam sync.

Yep the lip is touching the block, it's seated where it's supposed to be and it's in just the right position I just need that bolt to thread in and I will be good to go!

I'm going to check it and if I have to I will trim the bolt. It finger tightens in about .5" and then gets tight like its hitting the bottom
