99' ranger 3.0 engine swap for newer engine
I have a 99' ranger 4x4 with a bad 3.0 flex fuel motor. I was thinking about putting a newer model engine in the truck if I can do it without changing motor mounts,etc. Does anyone know for sure if later model engine will bolt in with no modifications? Thanks

Im doing the same thing. Try and buy a donor truck close to your year will make everything easier. Explorer motors work as well. 4.0 is basically plug n play just need a 4.0 trans and everything in the engine bay.
