How many plug wires had he pulled off to make the race fair, or how large was the boat he was towing? It's not drag racing if he's just driving...lol

I have no complaints at all about my 3.0,it starts when I need it,has enough power for me,sounds really nice,not a speck of oil on the garage floor and I don't feel my manhood threatened because I don't have a 4.0...

Doubt this. A lot. I had a Chevy with the 6.0 and I can tell you for a fact that its faster than my Ranger. Unless you were racing some old lady, this didnt happen. lol.

Youre saying finding a tranny for a 3.0l ext cab 4x4 is hard?? No here in Minnesota....at least for rangers between 96-00...tons of them at jys.

That sucks...make a trip to Mn then lol...
I have 2 rangers...and between them I have 4 engines, 3 trannies, 3 tcases, lol so I always have a spare

It all depends on the owner and what he/she needs the truck for...and how they are going to use it and maintain it.
The 4.0 guys will bash the 3.0s and then a 5.0 comes up and shuts them all up.

Give me some info...and i will see what I can dig up.
What year ranger? (Already know a 3.0 ext cab auto 4x4)
What kind of mile range should it be within? (What do u consider high miles and worth the work/risk/money/effort)
And price range???
And to let u know...I had my tranny rebuilt for $1800.
So consider rebuild price....and then the cost of a jy one plus shipping..and I have no clue what shipping is going to cost.
