how much power is your 3.0 making?
How much horsepower and torque does your Vulcan 3.0 ranger have? Lets see those numbers!

The figures vary for different years. I think the Vulcan started out with 140hp/160tq. when it was first introduced for the Taurus in late '85. I think in '08 when it was retired it was 155hp/185tq.

hahaha im contimplating on getting rid of my ranger to get a 2.3l 5 speed and makeing a turbo street truck. Im stuck between doing that or keep building my truck and supercharge it. I'm at 159 hp right now. Id like to see that go up significntly.

theres this thing called a v8 you should try it haha
in all seriousness turbo 4 bangers to pretty good i just like that v8 sound haha but im sticking with my 2.9l for now (.1 liter less = epic-er motor)

I hear you about the v8 but anyone can drop a v8 in a ranger and call it fast but im the type of guy that would rather make the big power!

My 3.0 - about 148 bhp I think.

After the build my engine is making just short of 250 at the crank. And it sounds like a v8 so :P

horse power is not equivalent or a direct correlation of what you are trying to achieve, tanks have a bagillion hp but aint all that fast, ranger, with its engine config is not set up for speed but rather every ounce of "power" it has is used for torque, so turbo, supacharge whatever is the only way youll amp up the power/speed while maitaining weight
