So, it's a chilly December Colorado day, snowy and about 20* out. Being bored at home, I decide to go to the local walmart, and just look at shit I don't need.

Anyway...

Approaching the turning lane, my truck just dies. Just dead. I turn the key, and all the bells and lights go off, but...no engine. Just one click.

Being BRAND NEW to Colorado, I Google a towing company, and they get me out of the middle of the road. We try to jump it, and nothing. Just ONE click, and no turn over!

Any idea what this could be?! UGHHHH.

Had it towed to Ford, and I'm preparing to bend over. They will look at it tomorrow....ughughughguhguhghuguhugh!

Could be a bad battery cable, either at the battery post or where they connect.

Hmm. Good thought.

Yup, sounds like a cable that is not correctly connected killing your connection to power. Check it before they do or, ouch.

Check for power at your starter to rule that out. Unless you've got the cash dont take it to Ford

Do your headlights work. Ford is going to screw you. I am not sue why you posted if you can't work on the truck at all and you took it to Ford. A definite no no. Maybe Ground cables, ignition switch, etc.

They called and said it was the wires connectors to my battery and to the truck. They have to replacing them. Ugh.

That is exactly what I posted yesterday, a bad battery cable connection. It is a simple fix even at an apartment or on the street with even a pair of channel locks til you get to a socket set or box end wrench.

I just saw your previous post. I replaced the termenals like a year ago from bad corrosion, but I guess it spread up the wiring and blah. >_<
