3.0 new motor what years can i pull from

I blew up my 3.0 and am now looking for another 3.0 can anyone tell me what years will work the best as far as bolting right in no headaches. Of course if I can find a 98 I won't have to worry about this but what are my other options 95 96 97 98 99 00 01 is what I would guess.

Just going off of memory, which may be false, but I think a 3.0 is a 3.0 is a 3.0. I really have no idea is you can take, say, a 2002 3.0 and swap it right in but the 2001+ had the composite intake manifold which is considered an upgrade from the cast intake in other years. Either way, if you swap in an older 3.0 snag the intake manifold form a newer one as it is supposed to be freer flowing.

I was told the non flex wouldn't work 00+ I believe. But I got a local supplier with a reman with a 3 year 100000 mile warranty for 1675 and I think that's what I'm going with not messing with the used maybe it runs maybe it don't BS. Still need new radiator new tires and to fix the vacume problem with the 4x4.so the stress continues

Can position sensor, syncro and clogged egr codes showed up today but would that explain the lack of oil pressure

The cam sync drives the oil pump so yes that could be your problem. Go with genuine motorcraft parts as the cheap Dorman stuff does not have the best reputation.

To solve and end your vacuum hub issue, get the AVM Rugged Ridge manual lockouts...

I found the hubs for 175 does that sound about right? EBay find
I'm having an issue finding the synchro on advance auto parts web site because I don't know the real name. I tried camshaft synchro and cam position sensor and a few more. I know what it looks like just no luck

Those hubs should be about $134...thats what I found a few months ago when looking for someone else..

I assume you mean the camshaft positioning synchronizer and or the camshaft positioning sensor...thats all I know that they are called by..

The sensor is also referred to as a Stator. I bought my sensor at Advanced the first time. 2 months later I bought one from a Ford Dealer.

a stator??? That makes no sense....a stator, from what I know, is like an alternator. I had to replace the internal stator in my motorcycle engine, it was a big round thing of wires and stuff that was magnetic and was centered on the flywheel taking electricity to the r/r regulator rectifer, which then charged the battery.
Not sure if the camshaft synchronizer has anything to do with electricity, just making sure the engine fires properly...

I could be wrong, but I have never heard it called a stator before, on any forum.

The Cam syncroniser? Is the gear and bearings part. The cam sensor that sits on top of the syncro is a separate part and is the electronic sensor that sends timing info to the ECU. The gear and bearing part is the part that has to be replaced. Go to rockauto You will find it.
