well lets see you are opening up a sealed system to hot air from the engine bay, in the process deleting the cold air intake so you can hear a sucking noise. Does not sound like a worth while mod to me

BAMA BOY don't bother on this thread if you are looking for Air Filter info.

and

Your crazy if you think removing the tube that sticks out a whole 1 1/4" if that from the air box removes the CAI.

Length does not matter if it heads to the outside air.

If you really want to make a difference ADD a tube to direct outside air.

I give up

"i know its not a significant gain in any performance but I'm bored and dont see how it can harm anything." what i said on my first post.

If you don't like the mod don't do it to yours.

my thing is its not pullin that much hot because of the fact its maybe 2inches from the from the little piece of rubber that goes from the hole in the air box to the front support to bhiend the head light so your not really pullin that much hot air cause your its getting cramed with fresh outside air

yall should try this a friend went lowes and got 2.5" flex hose a 6" pvc cone, opened the hole up in the air box to install the hose, had to do some trimming on the core support to run the hose through, then took a torch to the cone to change it from round to oval and install it behind a hole in the bumper with a screen over it. cheap ram air. he said he could tell the difference pulling hills on the freeway.
