Default More issues with my V6 3.0......

So, I am not able to drive my Ranger at the moment, and would really like it back, fixed, and nothing to go wrong for awhile.
After we got the whole thing put back together after we fixed the head gaskets, water pump and exhaust valves..... It was running fine, wouldnt say great, but fine. And we knew we didnt time it correctly, but good enough to where it ran and stayed running. Well, after a few days it started getting a rough idle. then after turning in on it would die, or try to die majorly. The battery gauge was jumping around. And I told the guys and they said its just the timing, we will get it soon.....another week goes by.... Im driving it and it dies as im slowing down for a stop (U have to udnerstand, im used to cars dying on me ever since my childhood) So, i huff and puff and mumble under my breath and start it. As I am exselorating, It starting rumbling, and it feels like i am only getting spurts of gas... The engine light goes on, I keep going and the light goes off... I needed to be putting on the gas to keep it from dying. And it just got worse as i was driving home. Any ideas?? (I am sorry I always put these things as stories. i figure it would help)

Things we have checked, Battery, Timing the best we could, altinator, and Tranny fluid. The transmission should be fine, 2.5 years new

Sounds like you got the timing off more than you thought and now it is really causing you problems.
