Well, my truck was having issues, almost over heated and started leaking coolant. Hoping it to be the water pump we replaced it. Turned it back on and it was still leaking. SO now we know its the Head Gasket. We now know that its leaking from the head and its warped.... I am hoping that it didnt crack. Lucky for me, I know a guy that will help me out so I wont have to pay 900 bucks to send it to a shop. Any pointers about this procedure? Hints, tricks, warnings?
a couple other questions. How long do you think this process takes. And could it be a simple as just buying a gasket kit?

A lot of stuff has to come off, so its gonna take a good day, and if its got a zillion miles, you just as well pull both heads and have the valve ground. Make sure all gasket material is cleaned off the mating surfaces, and that all parts are clean. May want to have a torch handy when you take the exhaust bolts out too.
