Have you checked your vacuum lines? I don't know anything about a 3.0 but maybe a line to a sensor cracked or you got water in a wire plug at a sensor? Or maybe a sensor went out because water got in it?

How old are the wires? Have you removed them since the first install at all? They can internally crack and cease functioning if removed and re-installed.

well i have another98 model 3.0 and all and it wont run with it but it will run with my 95 maybe their is a difference on the internals, but tomarrow i will have a new coil pack cause of your exact same situation.. did it run when you first started it up? and then run like sh!t cause mine is like its sucking air back throught the intake like pushing air instead of sucking it....

Ok. May have gotten water in either the cylinders or the fuel.

May have a bare wire somewhere and when water touched it, fried something.

Bad vacuum leak somewhere is more likely then the above.

My old explorer was doing something similar, turns out midas checked it and both my catalytic converters were clogged. It ran like new afterwards.
