Default New to fordrangerforums and have a problem!! plz help?!

hey everybody my name is phil i live in san clemente ca. i drive a 2002 xlt ext cab w/ the 3.0 and its basically stock with 80,000 miles. i just bought the truck on x mas and have been having troubles since. first i got a cam position sensor code. fixed it. then it started to get a intermitent misfire when cold and threw a cylinder 5 misfire code. i changed the plugs (gapped @ .044), wires, and ran injector fluid. the plugs were toast! the plugs and wires got rid of the surging when cold and its pretty smooth now but i can hear it alittle in the exhuast and MY MILEAGE IS BAD!! i hate it becuase its such a little truck but it gets at best 15 to the gallon! i dont drive it hard either... i was really hoping for some advise as to what to replace/clean/inspect that could be affecting my mileage. also im a independant freshman in college so money is alittle tight now that i bought the truck.

Also take a look at your egr and Pcv valves.

15mpg is pretty good on that truck. I had an 02' tremor that i was really pleased when i saw 15mpg and now I have a 94 b4000 4x4 that only gets 13mpg.
