My radiator blew. Does the air conditioner have anything to do with the radiator? I dont think so but someone told me it did. I jusy wanna make sure before I go ahead and order it.

If you're asking whether A/C has an effect on cooling, the answer is yes. A/C puts a load on the engine, which will in turn make it harder on the cooling system to keep everything cool. If you're asking whether A/C components will have to be removed in order to remove the radiator, the answer is no.

The added energy to turn the AC compressor is not really a measurable factor in coolant temperature. It isn't going to change anything in that respect. The AC's effect on the cooling system is the condensor coil which is in front of the radiator. Air blows through the grill, through the AC condensor, then through the radiator.

With the AC off, no effect. With the AC on, the air is heated as it passes through the condensor. This increases the temperature of the blowing through the radiator. This effectively reduces the amount of heat that air can conduct away from the radiator. So on hot ass 99.9 degree day in July, you engine might be running at 195 with the AC off. But with the AC on, it can't bleed off as much heat and you might be running at 210 or 215 instead.

All that said, for the purpose of replacing your radiator, no the AC is not connected to it in any way. If you have an automatic transmission, you WILL have the trans cooler lines going to the radiator.

No its a manual. Someone told me that the radiater has something to do with a/c and if I had a/c in my truck I needed a bigger radiator. I just want one to replace the old one. So in that case I just need a parts number in,which I already got from summitracing.com. 107 was the price on the radiator.
